Truth That Hurts......

GIRLS ARE AT A CROSSROADS
Girls living in poverty in the United States and around the World are uniquely capable of creating a better future. But when a girl reaches adolescence, she comes to a crossroads. Things can go one of two ways for her and everyone around her:
1. SHE GETS A CHANCE. She gets educated. She stays healthy and HIV negative. Marries when she chooses. Raises a healthy family. She has the opportunity to raise the standards of living for herself and her family.
Or…
2. NONE OF THESE THINGS HAPPEN. She is illiterate. Married off. Is isolated. Is pregnant. Vulnerable to HIV. She and her family are stuck in a cycle of poverty.
The clock is ticking…

Mommy there's MONSTERS under the BED........

Truth That Hurts......

Now this is an image that matches my thoughts,
exactly to describe what I dealt with as a child.
I could not have came up with any better graphic than this artist has.
As a child I was terrified of the dark and the unknown
characters that my ABUSER put into my head.
I slept with a stick under my bed, because my Father had promised me
that it would keep all the Bad imaginary monsters far away from me
and I would be free to sleep safely through the night.
Boy what a lot of faith I put in  my Father, it did pacified my mind and
allow me the security it took to be able to fall asleep, adequate
sleep is just as important for a child as nutrition is
in order for them to develop as expected.
Development of the mind from beginning to end is a never ending process,
which any traumatic experience is consequentially life altering,
The after effects may take years to even begin to show,
depending on the individuals ability to conceptually intake
the feelings felt front he remembrance of the pain.
Secondary damages also exist long after the actual abuse takes place.
